Jason Grilli looks awful, just terrible. He has this brutal hanging curve, and he has no clue where he's putting the fastball. The Sox are just sitting back and seeing the ball really well. I hate the White Sox, and they deserve to lose. I'd forfeit our first round pick altogether to see them fail. It would be glorious. As for Grilli, what's to get excited about? He's going to be 29 years old soon, and he was middling in Toledo this year. Are you looking for another Mike Maroth? Pitchers with so so walk and strikeout rates aren't ahrd to come by. I wouldn't get my panties in a bunch over 4 strikeouts and 4 walks in 7 innings. I'm glad they signed Maybin. There's no reason to start getting cheap now. A perfectly good chance to jump another spot in next year's draft order gone to waste. And this with our magic number over Tampa and Colorado down to just 2, meaning that overtaking them is unlikely... We had a shot at the 5th draft spot staring us right in the face, and we blew it. And we've still got to make sure and out-lose the Dodgers to even retain 6th. And don't count out the free-falling Orioles... We're only 1 game ahead of them.
