Magglio Ordonez – All Star?

Magglio Ordonez got a nice surge of votes last week and he now sits in second place in the American League in the All Star balloting.  He would join Placido Polanco and Ivan Rodriguez if voting ended that day.  Carlos Guillen is a distant second place at shortstop and Sean Casey and Brandon Inge have moved all the way up to third at their positions.  You’d also think that with the three starters, Justin Verlander and Jeremy Bonderman would make it as pitchers and Carlos Guillen and possibly Curtis Granderson will make it as reserves.  Gary Sheffield may be the odd man out (no DH this year) although he’s definitely deserving.
